CryptoColor builds the Bitcalc app and runs the cryptocolor.online website. This page explains what data is collected when you use either of them, who processes it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
If you use Bitcalc or this website, you agree to the handling of information described here.
Information Collection and Use
Bitcalc does not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or any other information that directly identifies you.
The app relies on third-party services that may collect technical information on their own behalf:
- Google AdMob (for displaying advertisements to users on the free tier)
- Apple App Store and Google Play (for subscription purchases)
These services may collect information such as device type, operating system version, approximate location, and usage statistics.
To show current rates, the app also fetches currency and cryptocurrency rate data over the network. These requests carry only what is needed to return a rate. No personal information about you is sent with them, and the rate data received is not tied to you or your device.
Advertising
Bitcalc shows ads from Google AdMob to users who do not have an active subscription. To serve and measure those ads, AdMob may access your device's advertising identifier — the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS, and the Advertising ID on Android. These identifiers are assigned by the operating system, not by us, and you can reset or limit them in your device settings at any time.
On iOS, ads are personalized only if you allow tracking when the system prompt appears. On Android, you can opt out of personalized ads in your Google account settings.
You can learn more about how Google uses data here:
https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Subscriptions and Payments
Bitcalc offers an optional auto-renewing subscription that removes ads and unlocks paid features. All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you downloaded the app.
We never see or store your payment details. Card numbers, billing addresses, and similar payment data go directly to Apple or Google and are never shared with us.
What we do receive from the store is limited to:
- whether your subscription is currently active, expired, or in a trial period
- anonymous transaction and receipt identifiers used to validate your purchase
- the renewal date and the product identifier of the subscription
This information is used only to unlock paid features on your device and to restore your purchase if you reinstall the app or switch devices. Apple and Google handle your payment data under their own privacy policies.
Log Data
In case of an error in the app, we may collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, configuration of the app, and the time and date of your use of the Service.
Website Analytics
The CryptoColor website (cryptocolor.online) uses Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site. This is separate from the Bitcalc app.
We use Google Consent Mode v2. Before you make a choice, analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization are all set to denied — no analytics cookies are written and no measurement data is sent. On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics. Analytics runs only if you accept.
If you accept, Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data such as pages visited, device type, browser, and approximate location. To change your mind later, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again on your next visit. Data collected is processed according to Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Cookies
The Bitcalc app does not explicitly use cookies. The CryptoColor website uses Google Analytics cookies, which are set only if you accept them via the consent banner (see Website Analytics above). The site also stores your consent choice and your language preference locally in your browser; these are required for the site to work as you expect and are not used for tracking.
Data Retention
We do not run our own user database, so there is no personal profile of you held by us to delete. Retention is determined by the services described above:
- Subscription status is held on your device and by Apple or Google for as long as your subscription and their own record-keeping rules require.
- Google Analytics data, if you accepted analytics, is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics and then deleted automatically.
- Crash and log data is retained only as long as needed to diagnose the problem it relates to.
- Your consent choice and language preference stay in your browser until you clear the site's data.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data. We honour these requests regardless of your location.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK (GDPR), you have the right to:
- access the personal data relating to you that we hold
- ask us to correct it or delete it
- receive it in a portable, machine-readable format
- object to or restrict certain processing
- withdraw consent at any time, including analytics consent, without affecting processing that already took place
- lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority
If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request its deletion, to receive a copy of it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising outside of the advertising identifiers described in the Advertising section, which you can disable in your device settings.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@cryptocolor.online. We will respond within the time limits set by the applicable law.
Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals for the following reasons:
- To facilitate our Service
- To provide the Service on our behalf
- To perform Service-related services
- To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used
Security
We value your trust in providing us your information, thus we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Links to Other Sites
This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us.
Children's Privacy
Bitcalc is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in the United States, or from children under the age set by their country in the European Union — which is 16 in some member states and as low as 13 in others.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
